TÓM TẮT ĐÓNG GÓP MỚI CỦA LUẬN ÁN

INFORMATION OF THE NEW CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE THESIS

Name of dissertation:          Research on the characteristics and control of electric power                                                 steering system in cars

Major:                                    Power Mechanical Engineering

Code No:                               9520116

Name of PhD. Student:        Nguyen Hong Quan

Name of Supervisors:          1. Assoc. Prof. Vu Van Tan - University of Transport and

Communications

2. Prof. Olivier Sename - Grenoble Institute of echnology        (Grenoble INP), France

Training Institution: University of Transport and Communications

SUMMARY OF THE NEW CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE THESIS

1. Build an electric power steering map tailored to the driver's "Stevens" power-law psychophysical response for a specific vehicle.

2. Design a PID-FOC controller for the assist motor to track the proposed steering characteristics.

3. Simulate and evaluate the performance of the electric power steering (EPS) system and controller - based on steering feel metrics defined in ISO international standards and Chinese national standards (GB/T) - using Matlab/Simulink and CarSim software under various operating conditions.
